The Mechanical Pine Stretcher Bars are handmade using museum quality kiln dried Pine wood PEFC certified. The 24mm Mechanical stretcher bars are machined with a 1cm rebate depth between your stretched material support and stretcher frame, reducing any risk of catching the frame while painting and causing a trace of the stretcher bars. 

The stretcher bars simply slot together via the mechanical Hearts for stretcher bars and mechanical Ovals for the adjoining cross bars. When slotted together, the mechanical stretcher bars are perfectly square and require no fine tuning or adjustments.  

Screws are inserted into the mechanical hearts and ovals after stretching your material and simply turned to increase the size of the stretcher for the perfect tension.  

Mechanical Stretcher bars can be made up to 300cm in length and are ideal for larger artworks or small chunky canvases.
