Stretching Service
Artist Surfaces offers a comprehensive stretching service, providing expertly stretched linen or canvas on either our Wooden Panels or our Combi Stretchers, depending on the artist’s preferred tension, weight and working characteristics.
When stretching raw material onto our wooden panels, we use a D3 PVA glue solution to securely adhere the fabric to the substrate. This waterproof adhesive creates a permanent, non-reactivating bond, ensuring long-term stability and preventing future lifting or movement.
All stretching is carried out by skilled technicians using traditional methods to achieve even tension and a homogeneous surface.
Re-stretching Your Paintings
We also provide a specialist service to stretch your existing artworks onto our panels or Combi Stretchers, offering a high-quality, stable support for re-mounting or conservation purposes. Whether preparing new surfaces or re-stretching completed pieces, our approach combines precision, care and craftsmanship to deliver professional, exhibition-ready results.
