Artist Surfaces fabricate handmade ECONOMY Aluwood Painting Panels for professional artists.
Painting panels have an aluminium surface with a poplar plywood wood subframe which is sustainably sourced and PEFC and FSC certified.
Artists Surfaces use aluminium alloy 5251 sheets which are a strong strength alloy offering excellent scratch and corrosion resistance. This creates a painting panel that is rigid, light with a smooth surface. Aluminium will not react to changes in humidity or temperature.
*Panels are sanded to a 120 grit on the sides and are unsanded on the front.
The poplar plywood subframe has an attractive uniform tight grain and its white ivory colour.
Canvas or Linen can be stretched over the panels for artists that have preference for painting onto a solid surface.
Aluminium painting panels are suitable for acrylic and oil painting.
